Practical Project Management (10 Hours - Class offered by Appointment)

Course Description Project Management is all about creating change, an absolute imperative to achieving and maintaining your competitive advantage. But even the best PM tools and processes will not yield strong results without effective leaders. This 5-week integrated leadership course offers the knowledge, templates, and tools needed to manage a project from beginning to end. It includes weekly homework to apply class learning and office hours for individual instructor support. Participants will be equipped with foundational project management skills to be confident and efficient, not only in leading projects, but the organization, too. At the end of this course, you will be able to: DEFINE THE PROCESS:From project initiation to closing, including planning, execution, and monitoring & controlling. WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE (WBS):Make scheduling easy and practical, so much so that anyone can follow. LEARNING OBJECTIVES:Charter, stakeholder management, communication planning, report building, schedule building with WBS, tool agnostic, metrics and data, and meeting organization, all integrated with breakouts, group discussions, and in-class technical work.
