Portrait of M.- photogravure print - The Weekly Edition

I love making portraits of interesting people, it is the work that suits me best in many ways. My goal is always the same, make the person in the picture look interesting, important, and beautiful. In a word sublime . The plan is simple, great light, simple setting and a contribution by the sitter.  In this case she arrived with this wonderful vintage wool hooded cape.   This hand-pulled photogravure print is made with Charbonnel  Bistre, 55981 Black, and sanguine inks on Hahnemühle copperplate paper. I printed an edition of 8 numbered prints and  3 A/P prints.  Hand-pulled print by Ray Bidegain Limited edition of 8 6.25 x 8.0 inches on an 11 x 15.5sheet. Signed numbered and dated by the artist on the lower front.
