Rhododendron x Nova Zembla Nova Zembla is a prized rhododendron, mainly for its extreme cold hardiness and bright, bold magenta flowers. It produces large, 12" flower clusters in late spring, usually around the end of May. Once established, the blooms will be so profuse that they will literally cover the entire shrub. Leaves are evergreen and will remain during even the coldest winters. Excellent nectar source for pollinators. Plant Nova Zembla in a part sun or shady area. All rhododendrons prefer moist and acidic soil. Be sure to mix in some Coast of Maine™ Organic Soil for Acid Lovers. Mature plant grows to 6-8' tall and 5-7' wide. Arrives to you in a 3 gallon-sized pot
