Pre-order now for delivery in April-May! Fothergilla gardenii Dwarf Fothergilla is a true native shrub that is commonly grown as a useful ornamental shrub in the US. It is commonly found in Coastal areas in the southeastern US.  It's noted for it's dwarf habit, and bottlebrush-like flower spikes that grow to 2.5" wide and up to 3" long. Flowers bloom in April and May.  Foliage produces a spectacular fall display, showing colors of red, orange, and burgundy.  Fothergilla is a great plant to add fall color to your garden to compliment fall color in trees. Plant Dwarf Fothergilla in full sun to part shade in soil with average moisture. It does prefer some acidity, so amend soil with low acidity. In hot areas, it would appreciate some afternoon shade to avoid drought or damage to it's leaves.  Arrives to you in a 3 gallon pot.
