Grape Republic "Bailey A" 2021 Yamagata Red

Whole bunches of Muscat Bailey A were placed on the bottom of the tank, then destemmed Muscat Bailey A to fill the majority of the tank resulting in a semi-carbonic 10 day maceration. Aged in stainless steel tanks for 10 months. Bottled in the summer of 2022 with a small blend of Cabernet Sauvignon.  Juicy and fruity scent of freshly cut apples and strawberries. The taste is also full of fruit with gentle acidity and mellow astringency. Yeasty, umami finish. Spontaneously fermented with wild yeast.
