This is a piece of California history. After decades of wine production, these vines were retired to my shop to take on new life as art after decades of producing amazing wine. I was very lucky 8 years ago when they were widening fire roads all through Napa and I have a small collection of incredible art for sale for the first time. Each one is unique and one of a kind. When I'm out, that's it. NO STAIN WAS USED! This is the natural color of the vine. The red you see comes from the cambium layer of the bark. Very rare for me to get it run through my process just right to keep them intact. This retired Domaine Carnerous Pinot Noir grapevine made their incredible wine (its amazing if you have not tried it). Look at the wine bottle next to it to see the sheer SIZE of the vine! Its massive and an incredible part of California history. The light and dark swirls of the vine are incredible and my cell pictures really don't do it justice.
