#C172 - Size 31 Slate and Shell set - Quince Go Bowls

This is a lovely go set, with high class go bowls and slate & clamshell go stones. The wood looks like Quince, a red/brown tone. They are XL size, please see the photos for measurements. They were refurbished; scrubbed clean, treated with Monkey Wax, and given 2 weeks to cure. The 180 white pieces are a Mexican clamshell, and a bit thicker than 8mm. The bright white clamshells have a variety of grades, please see the photos for details. They were soaked in h2o2 for 2 weeks before being rinsed with distilled water and buffed with iso-paraffin wax. The 181 black stones are slate, and are slightly larger than the white (size 31) which is usually preferred so that they appear the same size side-by-side. They were washed with soapy water and rinsed with distilled water, but have not been buffed with mineral oil. This is a Vintage item.
