Open Edition Story The tides came together for a perfect shot. There were 12 ft swells every few seconds, and the boat went down, the wave the orca was in came up, and we were level for just a moment. In this shot, the boat was rocking side to side so hard I thought I was going to fall overboard and had to sit down. I got incredibly lucky and was able to snap right between 2 rails of the boat that framed the orca perfectly at the perfect moment. This shot was one of fate.
