Two plies are twisted tightly together to produce a very soft and springy yarn. This yarn is slightly plumper than our Aussie Extra Fine Sock w/Nylon (which has 4 plies) and just as soft. The 2 plies make the yarn slightly bumpy which helps the strands of yarn hold together against each other making it great for colourwork and lace work. The thicker strands also help speckles pop even more.The extra fine merino wool makes this yarn luxuriously soft and bouncy for next to skin comfort.
