This small batch of bourbon was crafted from Mash Bill #1, like other great blends such as Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, and George T. Stagg. It is a sour mash of corn, rye, and malted barley, which has a lower content of rye, than mash bill #2. This bourbon is sweet and rich with notes of rich caramel corn, mingled with sweet hints of butterscotch, and undertones of licorice.
