Saab 37 Viggen

The Saab 37 Viggen (Swedish for "Thunderbolt") was a single-seat, single-engine, multirole combat aircraft designed and produced by the Swedish aircraft manufacturer Saab. It was a key aircraft for the Swedish Air Force during the Cold War. The Viggen was the first canard-equipped aircraft to be produced in quantity. This design, combined with a double delta wing, contributed to its STOL (Short Take-off and Landing) capabilities, allowing it to operate from short, potentially damaged runways. A total of 329 Saab 37 Viggen aircraft were built.
