Production of the Saab 340 took place from 1983 to 1999.  Colgan Air was a regional airline in the United States that operated from 1965 until 2012. It was a subsidiary of Pinnacle Airlines Corp. and operated under various brands, including Continental Connection, United Express, and US Airways Express. Colgan Air ceased operations on September 5, 2012, when its name and operations were phased out by Pinnacle Airlines Corp.
