This is a Carburetor Air Temperature Indicator for a dual engine aircraft as used in the C-46 Curtiss Commando Transport aircraft of the US Army Air Forces during WWII and through the 1950-60's by the US Air Force and civilian operators. Made by Weston, model 828 type 19Y1S. The red/green markings on the scale match the operating limits for the C-46 according to the C-46 Flight Manual dated 1945. Measures 3.25in diameter and ~3in deep. It is in excellent condition given its age. The dial markings are clear and the glass and case are intact. See photos.
