We felt we couldn't undermine this bench's authenticity by trying to restore it so we have left it as is. With that said there are some spots of wear and minor discoloration on the top of the bench which can be almost completely covered by the newly fashioned seat. Speaking of the seat, our upholsterer fabricated an absolutely gorgeous bench seat made of top-quality, thick-hide leather that compliments the rosewood perfectly.
