
Mace Engineering 4.2L Stroker Kit
Here's a chance to buy a unique product that was made in limited production. This kit includes a 3.7" stroke crankshaft with accompanying rods to turn your 3.8 Liter 3800 into nearly 4.2 liters of displacement. The kit requires machining and clearancing on your engine block. This must be performed by a competent machine shop. We did not have issues here building one, but you'll want to vet your own shop. Rods will need honed to size. The block and oil windage tray need to have clearance ground on the pan rail, so the rod bolts don’t hit as the engine rotates. The counterweights on the crank machined to clear the bottom of the pistons/pins. We found the Silvolite 1745HC-020 pistons required the least amount of crank clearance grinding. OEM L36 pistons can be used, but will require more work. Plan on removing .020-040 off the block deck surface. Your machine shop can adjust this to achieve your desired compression ratio and/or cylinder quench. The amount removed will be dependent on
