Product Description:  In 1935, Little Lulu first appeared in a Saturday Evening Post comic strip created by Marjorie Henderson Buell, American cartoonist.  Made in Poland from around the 1940’s era, this hard, plastic mask face doll has adorable, painted, facial features with big, side-glancing eyes.  Her stitched, cloth body is firmly stuffed.  Her legs are jointed with a metal loop on the side of her thigh, which allows them to bend for a nice sitting position, although she does not stand on her own.   Measuring about 15” tall, she has black, woolly, braided pigtails, yellow bows, and a pretty-pink and black polka-dot shirt and apron-like skirt which ties in the back.  Her back, right thigh is stamped “Poland”.  So cutesy!
