Vintage Spice Set of 8 in Original Wood Box THE SPICE CHEST Dove Frank Tea & Spice, Ohio

  Description: It was in 1896 that Jacob Frank with his brothers Emil and Charles founded the Frank Tea and Spice Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. This original Spice Set of eight; Allspice, Cinnamon, Cloves, Ginger, Mustard, Nutmeg, Pepper and Salt are made of Milk Glass with each jar decorated with a blue Dutch tulip pattern, the name of the spice and "The Spice Chest" on the front. On the back of each jar are remnants of the original Dove brand label and two sides with an embossed motif. The lids feature a tulip decoration with the spice name. This set will arrive in the original wooden box with finger jointed corners along with the original paper label still intact on the underside of the lid, “The Spice Chest”.
