Description: During the earlier years, wooden containers similar to this one were common for measuring dry goods or other commodities. This smaller dry measure most likely used in the agriculture or industrial environment, measures 7 inches in diameter and 4 inches tall. Well-constructed of bentwood with small tack nails, it is reinforced with metal horizontal and vertical bands encircling the exterior sides and bottom. An exceptional choice for primitive or farmhouse decorating.
