
1940's Dietz "Vesta" Railroad Kerosene Lantern
Product Description: Generations of railroaders relied on Dietz Vesta Railroad Lanterns. This antique short, clear globe kerosene railroad lantern was redesigned after WWI by Dietz as a smaller version to compete with other shorter globe designs coming to market. On the globe featured is embossed advertising, Dietz Vesta New-York U.S.A. and etched NYCS. On the top, embossed Dietz Vesta USA, with 4 patent dates on lids (as shown) along with the patent date for this lantern (S-3-43).
