Description: The R8-8 Do Not Stop on Tracks sign is a critical safety measure for areas where there is a significant potential for highway vehicles stopping on railroad tracks at grade crossings. This sign should be strategically installed to ensure the safety of drivers and prevent accidents. It can be placed on the right-hand side of the highway, either on the near or far side of the grade crossing, depending on which location provides better visibility to approaching drivers. If a STOP or YIELD sign is installed downstream from the grade crossing, where highway vehicle queues may extend beyond the tracks, a DO NOT STOP ON TRACKS sign (R8-8) should be used.
