Classic Red Vinification. 12 months in medium toasted 225Lt French oak barrels. It was bottled unfiltered, there is a possibility for sediment to be created in the bottle. We produce with great care around 3,300 bottles of Mavrotragano. Born on the volcanic terroir of Santorini, this native variety is truly rare as it covers less than 3% of the island’s vineyards. The low-yielding, small grapes offer cult-status wines of sheer individuality. Ruby red color with paler highlights, a vigorous cocktail of red and black fruit, spices, minerals, tobacco, and gentle tannins. It is perfectly combined with intense taste meat dishes. Best served at 18 oC.
