Dalea purpurea (Purple Prairie Clover)

This native prairie plant will work very well in full-sun areas in moderate to dry soils. If you are looking for a plant that won't require much in the way of supplemental watering, this is a great species for you. Growing multiple upright stems with light green foliage. The flowers are thimble shaped, and a bright lavender-purple color highlighted with yellow stamens that protrude slightly from each.
