Fortress XRC440 Series Lead-free Radiation ShieldingOur Fortress lead-free shielding is a Tungsten composite which provides broad spectrum radiation shielding similar to lead.  We can laminate this to Aluminum and other materials as specified by our clients to provide strong rigid panels for equipment shielding.  The lead-free construction is preferred as a safe alternative to lead for projects in nuclear, industrial, medical and general NDT. Use for protection from nuclear isotopes, gamma radiation or x-ray tubes.- Lead equivalents from 1/32" to 1/4" or greater.- Custom aluminum panels machined to specification for ease of installation.- Typically laminate to 1/16" Aluminum 6061 T6.  Other thicknesses and materials available.
