Norepinephrine is an organic chemical in the catecholamine family that functions in the human brain and body as a hormone and neurotransmitter. Norepinephrine directly stimulates adrenergic receptors. Stimulation of alpha-adrenergic receptors causes vasoconstriction of the radial smooth muscle of the iris, arteries, arterioles, veins, urinary bladder, and the sphincter of the gastrointestinal tract. Stimulation of beta-1 adrenergic receptors causes an increase in myocardial contractility, heart rate, automaticity, and atrioventricular (AV) conduction while stimulation of beta-2 adrenergic receptors causes bronchiolar and vascular smooth muscle dilatation.Product informationCAS Number: 108341-18-0Molecular Weight: 337.28Formula: C12H19NO10Synonym:Noradrenaline bitartrate monohydratelevophedLevarterenol bitartrate monohydrateChemical Name: (2R,3R)-2,3-dihydroxybutanedioic acid 4-[(1R)-2-amino-1-hydroxyethyl]benzene-1,2-diol hydrateSmiles: O.NC[C@H](O)C1=CC(O)=C(O)C=C1.OC(=O)[C@H](O)[C@@H
