Description The GigaPort 100M/1.25G/2.5G Fiber Media Converter (NM-2000E) is a media converter that translates transmission signals from RJ-45 twisted-pair network cable (10/100/1000Base-T) to single mode or multimode fiber optic cable (1.25G/2.5G). The DIP switch panel on the rear of the device allows users to easily select between 1.25G/2.5G SFP modes, enable/disable Link Fault Passthrough (LFP), and isolation mode for the RJ-45 Ethernet LAN ports. The NM-2000E GigaPort Fiber Media Converter supports conversion between 10/100/1000Base-T copper and 1000Base-LX / SX fiber networks, which are SC / SFP / WDM transceivers for single-mode or multi-mode media as required. The Netsys NM-2000E GigaPort Fiber Media Converter requires an SFP fiber optics, 1000Base-T copper, or xDSL module (one per unit, sold separately) to function.
