My Neighbor Ka’ala

This piece is printed on Kitakata paper, a delicate hand-made Japanese paper. The techniques include a monoprint layer using a solvent and ink to create the starry night texture on a plate, which is then applied to paper through the press. The second layer is a polyplate lithograph from a drawing of mount Ka’ala. Framed in a Shou Sugi Ban frame from reclaimed redwood sourced in Santa Cruz, CA.
