Antique appliqué quilt. Flower motifs and appliqué quilts were favorites of 19th century quilters, a tradition that was revived in the 1920s-1930s. This early example displays fine workmanship with a playful look at roses in full bloom, each surrounded by rosebuds. "Waffle" and "double waffle" quilting patterns appear throughout the spread. Measurements: 82" x 72" Condition: Excellent.
