By Baltimore based illustrator, Jayne Zook. This series was influenced by words she commonly heard spoken by her Bubbie, Geraldine “Sissy.”  Each are printed on a heavy card stock paper, placed in a gilt-wood ready to hang 5 x 7” frame.  Oy Vey is a Yiddish phrase used to express frustration, dismay or exasperation. More about the artist: Jayne lives in Baltimore with her two kids and husband. She has a B.F. A. from Towson University, with a concentration in painting. Her art is inspired by music, nature, humor and her childhood. To see more of her work follow her on Instagram @jaynethepain.
