Needs a year or two more to soften. Wine Enthusiast & Wine Advocate 90 points - There is good ripeness in the 2016 Medalla Cabernet Sauvignon, but it still managed to keep some of the varietal characters and maintain good freshness despite the challenging year in the zone. The wine has some dusty, albeit fine-grained tannins and a dry finish. 60,000 bottles produced. Well rounded and balanced structure in the mouth with soft, ripe tannins. Ideal to serve with all kinds of red meats, cheeses, and pasta with well-spiced sauces.
