Yellow Cat Balsa Ornament

Yellow cats are often referred to as "butterscotch," "ginger," or "caramel." Due to genetics, most yellow cats are male. This is because the "ginger" gene is on the X chromosome, and males only need 1 copy while females need 2 copies of this chromosome. Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua.
