Barred Owl Balsa Ornament

The Barred Owl is primarily nocturnal and likes to live in trees. It's easily identified by its heavily streaked chest, round, tuftless head, and big, black eyes. If you ever hear "who cooks for you, who cooks for you " while you are out in the woods, this is the barred owl's distinctive call. Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua.
