1919 Ribbed Pullover Sweater Vest Knitting Pattern 34"-36" Bust
I absolutely adore this whimsical "pullover" from 1919. It makes a cute sweater vest, suitable for the WWI or early 1920's, or why not use it for modern wear? Especially chic over armistice blouses, as pictured. Wearing one will make your outfit unique! No size listed, I have made this up and it fits a 34"-36" bust.+++PLEASE NOTE: I colorized the image incorrectly. The original pattern calls for there to be three colors in this garment- the body of the slipover is one, the cord and buttons another, and the edging and rope are another.I have included a photo of the one I made, but I deviated from the pattern, in that I crocheted the colored bands on the sleeves and the front and collar. The original calls for knitting. The cord is also done in a different technique.+++--- MATERIAL REQUIRED --- -Columbia Scotch Sweater Yarn- 3 balls turquoise, 1 ball white, 1 ball black (colorized image is my creation, originally black and white in the periodical)- Knitting needles, Size 9 & size 3-6
