H2O Jet's standard ceramic plunger, being 100% ceramic, is an upgrade over other piston plungers which have metal shoulders. These ultra-smooth, reliable plungers ensure long seal life and, best of all, there's no metal shoulder that might come off due to differences in thermal expansion rates. Clean by buffing with a soft cloth. Replace if you feel any surface imperfection, if you feel a groove sliding your fingernail over the surface, or see persistent/rapid seal failure on the ID of the hp seal.
