Bricco delle Viole is the highest and most western among the historical vineyards of Barolo. It ranges from 400 to 480 meters asl, with vines dating back to 1949 and a majority of michet and rosé biotypes. The oldest parcels of Bricco delle Viole MGA in Comune di Barolo. In 2015, harvest started on October 11th and maceration lasted 55 days, including an extended period of submerged cap (cappello sommerso). Malolactic in stainless steel, the following spring 2015 Bricco delle Viole was bottled on August 1st 2018, after 31 months of aging in large Slavonian oak casks of 25 and 50 hectoliters.
