The nib is from Germany Schmidt and it comes with Schmidt converter inside.    This pen is made of solid brass with black paint coating. It comes with one maple pen case (in black) and one wood box package. With frequent use the paint will wear away, revealing more brass and creating an effect unique to each user.  INK RECOMMENDATION In order to have the best writing experience, the manufacturer of our fountain pen nibs, Germany Schmidt, recommends customers to use ink which has moderate thickness. For example, the ink from Pelikan, Waterman
