Black Mammoth Tobacco

Black Mammoth Nicotiana tabacum L[ Approximately 100 seeds per packet ] 'Black Mammoth' is a fire cured-type tobacco that produces a leaf somewhat darker and broader than 'Madole', but does not droop as much.[1] The plants grow five to six feet tall, or thirty-eight to forty-two inches when topped, with leaves that reach twelve inches wide by twenty-four inches long, are egg-shaped in outline, attached at the broad end, and have lightly puckered surfaces.It was donated into the USDA's collection in August of 1963 by the University of Tennessee. Our seed originated from USDA accession number PI 552439 and sent to us by David Pendergrass from Tennessee.
