This antique rustic NW Persian scatter presents a deep blue serrated leaf lozenge lattice enclosing four distinct row styles of flowers including poppies and prunus. Straw-gold rosette border. Excellent field balance. A very well conceived and executed two person weaving. The lattice with several styles of flowers is a mid-19th century carpet design mainstay, but it here is particularly attractive. Moderate weave, cotton foundation. Good condition.
