Vintage Bakhtiari Rug 4'8'' x 6'8''

This a classic, cotton foundation, Chahar Mahal/"Bakhtiari" scatter with an allover large one-way scale pattern in which the yellow bounded panels in ecru, blue-green and red feature cypresses, standing whole flowers, blossom assemblies and petal rosettes. Main blue-green border of eggshell cartouches with flowers, some feathery, and deep tulipoid motives. A 17th century Kerman "Vase carpet" pattern is the ultimate pattern source. Good condition.
