Pristine Jinjunmei 1oz

  Some teas surprise even the most avid tea-drinker. This one starts with aromas of dry fruit in the dry leaves, dark soy in the wet leaves, and cream in the tea-broth. The first sip tastes like it has frothed milk, like on top of a cappuccino or hot chocolate. From there it unveils layers of molasses sweetness, a surprisingly strong salinity—almost like a meaty Castelvetrano olive—and hints of herbs and minerals. That's all to say, it is a real tea-person's tea—full of unusual (and delicious!) combinations. Pristine Jinjunmei is an all bud red tea from 100 years old trees growing wild outside of Tongmu pass. It has a beautifully serene and transformative energy. It is comforting and cleansing. It feels like it has strong anti-inflammatory properties, helping the joints and inner pathways—a testament to the pristine environment where it grows.  A slow gongfu cha session with it is awesome.
