
Zwann Grays/Statera "The Feeder" Pinot Noir Rosé Willamette Valley 2023
Zwann Gray produced this wine with Meredith Bell of Statera Cellars. 95% Pinot Noir, 5% Melon de Bourgogne 95% pinot noir, 5% melon de bourgogne grown on jory (volcanic) and gravely silt loam. farmed organically on a 4acre vineyard by meredith bell. both the pinot noir and melon were hand harvested and spent 48 hours soaking on skins prior to pressing. each wine was then fermented and aged in neutral french oak barrels for eight months. the melon spent its last two months aging in steel drums. the wine was blended prior to bottling and mellowed for 4 months. 22ppms so2, only 50cases produced tasting notes from zwann:this is a blend of pinot noir and melon de bourgogne and shoots from the hip, fresh cherry and raspberry notes with baking spices on the back end. But it doesn’t stop there! we have aged this wine on the lees for 9 months. most rosatos see about 2-3 months for contect. so what you will find here is a full bodied, and textured rose. perfect for anytime. especially in fall.
