Francois Chidaine Touraine Sauvignon Blanc 2023

A Loire Valley legend, Francois Chidaine has been producing brilliant wines for past 30 years. A pivotal figure in the formation of the Mountlouis-Sur-Loire appellation, Chidaine has continued making waves by becoming a major advocate for regenerative agriculture — a farming practice that implements permanent cover crops in the vines and discontinues tillage in order to closely mimic the natural state the vines would be in without human input, while actively sequestering carbon and battling climate change. Sourced from organic vineyards in the Touraine region of the Loire Valley, made just for the American market. Fermented with native yeast in stainless steel vats, and aged in the same vessels on its lees for 6 months before bottling. Textbook Loire Sauvignon aromatics and flavors: citrus, stone fruit and mineral notes. Medium bodied and nicely textured with balanced acid, this wine over-delivers.
