Christian Binner "Si Rose" NV

75% Gewurztraminer and 25% Pinot Gris, it's a NV blend of 30% 2017 and 70% 2018. The 2017 is 8 months of skin contact, and the 2018 is just 8 days. The aromas will immediately remind Swick fans of the "Only Zuul" but the palate is quite different. Where "Zuul" is all about freshness fleeting beauty, the "Si Rose" is more spicy and textured. Dried apricot and orange zest with turmeric tea notes and cinnamon-y texture. This is that rare combination of wild refreshment with serious complexity. On paper it's pretty straightforward orange wine, but it's really in its own delicious category.
