The book consists entirely of edited cases decided by the United States Supreme Court and focuses upon the Fourth Amendment prohibition against unreasonable searches and seizures, the limitations placed upon identification procedures and interrogations by the Fifth, Sixth, and Fourteenth Amendments, and the remedies for a violation of any of these constitutional provisions. It is designed for use in a basic course in Criminal Procedure, either in a law school or an undergraduate program in Criminal Justice, taught by teachers who use the case method of instruction.
