Vibrant gradients and colour transitions continue to trend across design and retail. Abstract shapes, diffused in blurs, have a soft, emotive feel about them that we can project our own feelings on to. The first diary uses calming green and blue as colours with a blurred, ‘out of focus’ effect, contrasting well with the year stamp. For the second design in this range, a square, glass-like textured pattern across the gradient gives the impression of a finish using a flat design.
