Description: Acrylics on canvas Size: 30″ wide x 24″ tall. Unframed. Based on a photo I took while visiting the Shaolin Temple in China in 2010. I took a photo of a large, laying Buddha and spent years trying to find a way to make a painting of it. During the spring of 2022, I ran across marvelous graffiti on a building in Marion, Indiana. Combining photos of the laying Buddha with the graffiti was the creative inspiration I needed, with this painting being the result. Some concepts pull together for me in a matter of hours, others in years! This is one of those slow cookers. The Urban Views Collection is inspired by the cities I have traveled to.
