The only processing they go through is cleaning and heat pressing!  The heat-press process uses no chemicals or waxes and is 100% natural. Since the leaves are harvested after they have fallen, no trees are cut or harmed at all during the entire process. These plates are durable and strong enough to not be cut or punctured by a knife or fork. Though these are designed to be single-use plate, you can actually get multiple uses out of them if you care for them properly.
