This wine is a love letter to the mountain ridge that runs through ourvineyards in East Amwell, Hopewell, and Princeton. When it comes towine, land is everything. The Sourland Ridge Red smells like a warm dayon the farm; sunshine on a hayfield. There are wafts of juicy berry fruitstoo- cherry, boysenberry, blackberry. There's a candied sweetness and adusty cocoa note; together they give a sense of tootsie roll folded in withall the fruit. Medium-bodied and well balanced, this wine would elevateyour grilled cheeseburger, or grilled skirt steak in a chimichurri. A blend ofCabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot.
