Watermelon Tourmaline in Quartz
Vibrant pink and green Tourmaline crystals abound on this specimen from Minas Gerais, Brazil. This specimen features a special variety of Tourmaline called "Watermelon" Tourmaline. To be a true watermelon Tourmaline, the crystals must exhibit a pink Tourmaline center and green Tourmaline "rind". Tourmaline often forms alongside Quartz and other pegmatite minerals such as Lepidolite Mica. Able to be displayed from multiple angles, this stone contains 3 different mineral species, white Quartz, purple Lepidolite, and the pink and green Tourmaline crystals.
