Snow-capped Quartz with Amethyst

Like holding a crystal mountain in the palm of your hand. This lovely "snow-capped" Amethyst crystal comes from the Karur region of India. This vivid, deep purple Amethyst crystal is topped with a layer of white Quartz, creating a beautiful crystal combination that resembles a snow-covered mountain peak.  This crystal is notable for its size and quality, making it a rare discovery from this area. Typically, this variety of Amethyst is cut into cabochons for use in jewelry due to its unique cross-sectional color zoning (see photo). When illuminated from behind, the crystal exhibits a beautiful purple glow. Approx. 4" H x 2.75" W x 2" Deep Need a display stand?
