The term “Black Hebrew Israelites” refers to several independent groups whoseunifying characteristic is that their members are of black African descent whoclaim Hebrew/Israelite ancestry. Whether or not any of the Black Hebrew Israelitegroups have Jewish ancestry is not the most important issue.
